Where it all started

In late 1990, a few University of Minnesota Engineering students were inspired by hearing about the first GM Sunrayce USA, to found the team that would become UMNSVP.

1991 saw the team's structure really start to take shape, forming a concrete plan to compete in Sunrayce '93.

1992 saw the team continue detailed design and construction of their first solar car, Aurora.
