Hyperion

Hyperion is the team’s 16th car. Built over the span of 3 years, this car is our most efficient one yet. Its low profile combined with the staple pine trees of Minnesota’s landscape gives it an iconic look that sets it apart from our previous cars.

The 2026 Formula Sun Grand Prix was the first event we took Hyperion to. Hosted at the Brainerd International Raceway in Minnesota, the team was excited to see what the newest car could do.

Since the 2026 American Solar Challenge’s starting line was in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the University of Minnesota had the opportunity to host Display Day for people to check all the cars that were there from different Universities.
