North American Solar Challenge Trial Drive

There has been a dearth of updates of late, but hopefully I can get back on track a little in the coming days. I recently spent a couple of weeks participating in a trial drive of the 2005 North American Solar Challenge race route. The new route starts in Austin, TX and follows US-75 north to Winnipeg, MB - Canada, then travels west along Trans-Canada Hwy 1 to the finish in Calgary, AB.

The University of Minnesota Solar Vehicle Project was asked to drive Borealis II along the route to test the course and build enthusiasm for the race in the communities the race will pass through next summer. The team made updates on my UMNSVP Racing Blog and there were also updates made by the race officials.
