Prerace Day 3

It's the last day before the race and the team could not be more excited. Today we brought the car down to the Texas State History Museum which will serve as the start tomorrow and showed off the car to the general public. There was a huge showing and people were getting very excited about the start tomorrow. Later, the University of Texas - Austin hosted a BBQ for all the teams.  Afterwards an all-team meeting covered all the details for the start tomorrow. In all 20 teams qualified for the race, with 7 teams being eliminated. The University of Minnesota will be in the pole position, and thus will be the first car out of the gate. After that, cars will be released in one minute intervals as the race commences. Second in line is Iowa State University.

The race kicks off promptly at 9:00 am and runs from Austin to Weatherford, Texas. It is a short day with a stage stop at the end, meaning all teams must spend the night at Weatherford. Stay tuned to the updates as we'll post the results each day.

Ok so we've got Peter doing TV interviews, and Carl explaining the car to the public? This is a black day in the annals of solar car racing.
